Is there someone that you can’t seem to communicate with? Do some people stress you out whenever you are around them? Do others react that way to you? Changing your communication style helps you communicate in a way that makes your views known without making others feel put down, hostile, or intimidated. This reduces the stress that comes from poor communication. Try these methods:
* Accept that there are events that you cannot control.
* Understand that you can control your feelings and reactions to others, you can’t change other people.
* Be assertive instead of aggressive. "Assert" your feelings, opinions, or beliefs instead of becoming angry, defensive, or passive.
* Learn and practice relaxation techniques.
* Exercise regularly. Your body can fight stress better when it is fit.
